Education & Outreach

One of the best ways to share our experiences and knowledge about composting is by hosting workshops, participating in tabling events, and developing an adaptable curriculum for students of all ages. Outreach is an essential part of our research because it allows us to teach others what we’ve learned and help our communities understand how to improve soil health, especially here in the Central Valley, where healthy soils are so important. Our educational curriculum covers what compost is, how it can be used and the positive impacts it has on soil health, giving learners the tools they need to make informed, sustainable choices.

Outreach

Our team is committed to sharing project outcomes and lessons learned to encourage community composting beyond the Central Valley.

Education

We have developed a curriculum that can be adapted to any grade level and helps get students excited about composting. Teaching students about composting at an early age is important because it builds environmental awareness, encourages responsible waste habits, and empowers young people to understand how their everyday choices can positively impact our soils.
